Comment: Update Release Notes

Why is the Berlin Release not on de Main Page under Release Notes?

Re: Comment: Update Release Notes -- Rachel.sienko 15:33, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

We will add it to the main page when the release becomes generally available to all customers. Currently, this release is in controlled availability. To learn how to upgrade your instance, see Requesting an Upgrade. For more information on release terminology, please see Upgrades and the Release Cycle.

Question: restricting users to roles

how to restrict number of users to a particular role.

Re: Question: restricting users to roles -- Guy.yedwab 18:08, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Can I ask for some clarification on the question? Are you interested in making sure only a certain number of users have a particular role, or are you looking for information on Contextual Security?

Error returned from "My watchlist" -- Jimcoyne22 15:56, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Was not sure where/how to report this error, but I get the following error message when I click on the "My watchlist" link in the top-right of the window:

Database error
Watchlist
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "wfSpecialWatchlist". MySQL returned error "1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND rc_namespace != 102 AND rc_namespace != 103) ORDER BY rc_timestamp DESC' at line 1 (localhost)".

Re: Error returned from "My watchlist" -- Guy.yedwab 18:39, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jim, this is a error that we have encountered sporadically before. I think there's some information in that error message we haven't seen before that will help us. I'll let you know if we can fix it. Does this happen every time you navigate to the watch list?

Re: Re: Error returned from "My watchlist" -- Rachel.sienko 01:19, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jim, Our developer made a change to the platform that should resolve this problem (it was a bug in MediaWiki). Please retest your watchlist and let us know if it works as expected. If you are still experiencing problems, please post details back to this thread. Thanks! -Rachel

ACL for Attachment Deletion -- Jhicks 21:25, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to restrict the deletion of attachments unless the table is incident and the incident has been submitted. Our instance only creates an Incident # if the Incident has been submitted. I've tried the following but it is always allow the ability to delete regardless of the Incident field being populated:

answer = true;

if (current.table_name == "incident" && current.number){ answer = false; // need to set to true here because before query rules could have overridden }

answer;

Any ideas?

Bug: Support link -- John Caruso 21:03, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

The Support link at the top of the main wiki.service-now.com page (http://www.servicenow.com/technical-support.do) is not working. All it shows is: Form not found

Re: Bug: Support link -- Rachel.sienko 00:33, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

The link is fixed. Thanks for the feedback!

The Search function is not currently showing up on any wiki pages. Instead of the search box, there is just a word - "Loading". When looking at the console, there are a couple of error messages specifying "Cannot read property 'CustomSearchControl' of undefined"

Re: -- Joseph.messerschmidt (talk) 13:40, 30 September 2015 (PDT)

Thanks for the information, and especially the console output. I am currently investigating this and will provide an update as soon as I know more. In the mean time, please try searching using the full search URL as a temporary workaround: http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=your search terms

Re: -- Joseph.messerschmidt (talk) 06:33, 7 October 2015 (PDT)

Is this issue still affecting you? I have been unable to reproduce this issue in a variety of environments. Based on the console output you provided it seems there may have been a temporary outage or connection issue from Google who provide our search.
